The 4WD Chassis

For up-to-date info on this range check the Latest News or MCD News sections

MCD (Model Car Design) make shaft-driven four-wheel-drive cars to give a new and unique addition to the thriving 1/5th scale model racing car scene. The company owner (and designer of the MCD car) is Sinan Sunali, who is an avid rally car fanatic, so much so that he has become a scrutineer for the WRC series!

Naturally, his interest in World Rally Cars has influenced the type of model car he makes, and so he has produced a superb collection of rally cars to form the back-bone of his range, supported by several other types. MCD car bodies are made from clear polycarbonate and are superb-looking replicas of the full size original.

All of these cars are fully "Active 4-wheel Drive" and like no other type of 1/5th scale car available elsewhere.

MCD cars are made in two chassis lengths: 510mm (medium) and 535mm (long). When you choose a matching body pack, the chassis length to fit it will be shown alongside.

Pro Line Chassis

This is the latest type of chassis supplied with alloy shock absorbers that are fully adjustable, and feature a four position "click-stop" multi-valving function - the first on a 1/5th scale car. The shock shafts are a full 5mm - the thickest on any 1/5th scale car to give brutal strength. The rear differential is "open", and the middle and front differentials are supplied "locked" to give a very sporting drive.

Blue Line Chassis

The most expensive chassis is a modern version of the "original" MCD car, but updated to the latest specification. The car has alloy shock absorbers, open differentials, and the most adjustable parts for enthusiasts who want to experiment with a variety of settings.
